Setup requirements

• A Tally installation, with Tally Prime for XML or ODBC exchange
• Agreement on ledger naming so entries map correctly
• A defined transfer frequency

Permissions required

• File or connector access to the Tally data directory

Security and privacy

• Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS).
• Credentials and tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser.
• Access can be revoked at any time from the provider's own account settings.

Known limitations

Stated plainly, because finding these out during implementation is worse than knowing them now.

• Tally's data model differs from a connected business system; mapping rules are agreed up front and some fields have no equivalent.
• Real-time two-way sync is not assumed; most setups use scheduled transfer.
