Security and privacy
- Shop-floor networks should stay segmented from general office networks.
- Connections are read-only by default — we do not write to machine controllers without an explicit, separately agreed requirement.
Known limitations
Stated plainly, because finding these out during implementation is worse than knowing them now.
- Older machines frequently expose nothing at all and need retrofitted sensors.
- Each machine make and model is assessed individually; there is no universal connector.
