What this connects
Document storage in the system to folders in Google Drive.
Supported workflows
- Storing matter and case documents against a client
- Attaching purchase and expense proofs to entries
- Sharing document folders with a client or colleague
- Backing up generated documents
Data exchanged
- File contents and names
- Folder structure
- Sharing permissions
- File links
Setup requirements
- A Google account with Drive access
- OAuth authorisation
- A designated root folder for business documents
Permissions required
- Access to the folders you designate — not your entire Drive, where scoping is supported
- Permission to create and share files within them
Security and privacy
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS).
- Credentials and tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser.
- Access can be revoked at any time from the provider's own account settings.
Known limitations
Stated plainly, because finding these out during implementation is worse than knowing them now.
- Drive storage quota is governed by your Google plan.
- Sharing permissions set directly in Drive can diverge from those set in the system.
