Data exchanged

• Whatever is agreed in the data contract — typically masters, transactions and status updates

Setup requirements

• The external system providing an authorised and technically usable connection method
• Documentation or access to determine its data model
• An agreed data contract, sync direction and conflict-resolution rule
• A test environment with representative data

Permissions required

• Credentials issued by the owner of the external system

Security and privacy

• Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS).
• Credentials and tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser.
• Access is scoped to the specific data the integration needs, not the whole system.
• Integration activity is logged for troubleshooting and audit.

Known limitations

Stated plainly, because finding these out during implementation is worse than knowing them now.

• Not every system can be integrated. Some have no API, some forbid it in their terms, and some expose data in a form that cannot be reconciled reliably.
• We evaluate technical and commercial feasibility before committing — we will tell you when the answer is no.
