Periodic calibration is a condition of use for many devices. The manufacturer or its service arm usually carries the obligation to remind or to perform it.
Location drifts
Devices move between wards, sites and even customers. A schedule anchored to where a unit was sold gradually stops describing anything real.
The list is the deliverable
What a service team needs is a list of what is due and where it currently is. Building that from sale records plus recollection is why calibration slips, and it slips silently.
What changes
- Calibration due dates held against the unit and its current location
- Location updated when service finds a device elsewhere
- Overdue units listed rather than discovered
- Service history proving the interval was met
