Customers frequently accept a display piece at a fair discount. What they object to is discovering it after delivery, and that objection is entirely preventable.
Time on display is the missing field
Without it, nobody knows whether a floor model has been out for three weeks or a year, so the discount is guessed and clearance never happens on schedule.
