Worked scenario
Complaints from one village and no way to connect them
Input complaints arrive individually and are answered individually, and a genuine batch problem looks like a series of unrelated farmers.
3 min read
A farmer reports poor germination. It is discussed, perhaps partially compensated, and closed. Another farmer reports something similar a week later.
Individually they look like farming
Outcomes vary for many reasons — soil, water, timing, weather. Without batch data there is no way to distinguish ordinary variation from a defective lot, so every complaint is treated as the former.
Evidence is what supports a claim
A supplier wanting redress from a manufacturer needs to show a pattern tied to a lot. Without batch records that conversation cannot even begin, and the supplier absorbs the cost and the reputational damage.
What changes
- Batch recorded against every sale
- Complaints linked to batch and to supplier lot
- Patterns visible across customers rather than case by case
- Manufacturer claims supported by evidence
